A vacuum leakage tester is mainly designed to find these small holes, or “leaks” in sealing products, packages or systems. This is a non-destructive way to check if something is hardly airtight.

A vacuum leak tester works by creating a vacuum around a sample placed inside its chamber. The packaging is either immersed in water or placed directly in the vacuum chamber, depending on the type of machine.
