What is the Process for Saber Certification in Saudi Arabia?
A SABER Certificate is an official conformity certificate issued through Saudi Arabia's SABER platform. It verifies that regulated products comply with applicable Saudi technical regulations before they are imported into the Kingdom. The SABER system was introduced by the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) to modernize product compliance, improve consumer safety, and simplify the import process through a fully digital platform.
Step 8: Customs Clearance
After the Shipment Certificate is issued, the shipment proceeds to Saudi customs.
Customs authorities review:
- Commercial invoice
- Packing list
- Bill of lading or air waybill
- Certificate of origin
- Product Certificate of Conformity
- Shipment Certificate of Conformity
- Other required import documents
If all requirements are satisfied, the shipment can be released for entry into the Kingdom.
