What is the Process for Saber Certification in Saudi Arabia?
A SABER Certificate is an official conformity certificate issued through Saudi Arabia's SABER platform. It verifies that regulated products comply with applicable Saudi technical regulations before they are imported into the Kingdom. The SABER system was introduced by the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) to modernize product compliance, improve consumer safety, and simplify the import process through a fully digital platform.
Step 5: Laboratory Testing (If Required)
Some regulated products require laboratory testing to demonstrate compliance with Saudi standards.
Testing requirements depend on:
- Product type
- Applicable technical regulation
- Product risk category
Products that already have valid, recognized test reports may not always require repeat testing, subject to the Certification Body's assessment.
Step 6: Obtain the Product Certificate of Conformity (PCoC)
Once compliance has been confirmed, the Certification Body issues the Product Certificate of Conformity (PCoC).
