What is the Process for Saber Certification in Saudi Arabia?
A SABER Certificate is an official conformity certificate issued through Saudi Arabia's SABER platform. It verifies that regulated products comply with applicable Saudi technical regulations before they are imported into the Kingdom. The SABER system was introduced by the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) to modernize product compliance, improve consumer safety, and simplify the import process through a fully digital platform.
Step 2: Register on the SABER Platform
The Saudi importer creates an account on the SABER platform and registers the products.
During registration, information typically includes:
- Product name
- Brand
- Manufacturer details
- Country of origin
- HS code
- Product category
- Technical specifications
Providing accurate information helps avoid delays later in the process.
Step 3: Select an Approved Certification Body
After product registration, the importer selects an accredited Certification Body recognized by SASO.
The Certification Body evaluates the product to verify compliance with the relevant Saudi technical regulations.
