• Thermoplastics

Thermoplastics remained broadly stable in August after a weaker start. HDPE, LLDPE, and PP recovered as buyers focused on immediate requirements, while PS strengthened on higher styrene-related costs. PVC saw a brief mid-month rise before easing as supply remained adequate and construction demand stayed weak. PA6 and polycarbonate strengthened on higher input costs, while PA66 recovered after early weakness. Automotive, electronics, electrical, and industrial demand provided support, but buyers remained cautious due to regional and application-level demand differences.

EVA remained relatively stable, supported by maintenance and low producer inventories, while weaker general-purpose demand limited gains.
