Men’s Extra Wide Golf Shoes: How to Find a Comfortable Fit

A lightweight construction, breathable upper, cushioning, and comfortable width can all contribute to a more pleasant experience.

How to Test Extra Wide Golf Shoes

When possible, try golf shoes with the socks you normally wear while playing.

Walk around before deciding whether the fit works. If you can, mimic some of the movements involved in golf by shifting your weight from side to side.

Pay attention to whether:

• Your toes have enough room
• The sides of your feet feel squeezed
• Your heel stays in place
• Your foot slides forward
• The upper feels restrictive
• The sole feels stable

A few minutes of testing can reveal fit issues that are not obvious while sitting down.

Final Thoughts

The right men’s extra wide golf shoes should provide enough room for your feet without compromising stability.

For men with wide or extra-wide feet, options such as 4E or 6E can offer more space than standard footwear. A roomy toe box, comfortable cushioning, secure heel, and stable outsole can also make a difference during long rounds.

Instead of simply choosing a larger shoe, focus on finding the right combination of length and width. When your golf shoes fit properly, you can spend less time thinking about cramped footwear and more time concentrating on your game.
