Step 6: Understand How the Consultant Works With Government Authorities

A good consultant should be able to explain, in plain language, how your application will move through the system. This includes initial approval, trade name reservation, license issuance, establishment card, visa applications, Emirates ID, bank account opening and corporate tax registration with the Federal Tax Authority.

You do not need to know every detail yourself. What matters is that the consultant can describe the process clearly and without vague answers. If a firm cannot explain the steps, it is unlikely to manage them well on your behalf.

Step 7: Compare the Quotation Line by Line

Pricing transparency is part of trustworthiness. A credible quotation separates government fees from service fees and lists what is included, such as license, visa quota, office space, establishment card and banking support.

Ask directly about renewal costs, visa fees, amendment charges and any optional extras. Extremely low quotes often exclude important items that appear later as extra charges. Compare at least two or three quotations so you understand the market range.

Step 8: Review the Contract Before Paying

Never rely on verbal promises. The contract should state the scope of work, timeline, total cost, payment schedule and what happens if the application is rejected or delayed.

Check whether refund terms are clearly written. Confirm that the license and company documents will be issued in your name or your company's name, and that you will receive copies of all submissions. If anything is unclear, ask for it to be rewritten before signing.

Step 9: Test Their Communication and Honesty

Your first conversations tell you a lot. A professional consultant asks about your business model, ownership structure, expected activities and budget before recommending anything.
