Creating a successful colony requires careful preparation. Humans cannot simply arrive on another planet and begin living normally. Every part of life must be designed around the conditions of the new environment.

In SPARROW, the Sparrow facility serves as a preparation ground where colonists learn how to live together before beginning their journey. The underground settlement functions as a small-scale version of the society they hope to create in the future.

The manuscript describes Sparrow as a complex underground city containing residential areas, life-support systems, training facilities, and community spaces.
