A Step-by-Step Process to Buy Old GitHub Account

Check old email accounts for registration messages, security notifications, repository activity, or password reset messages

Also consider whether you used a username that differs from the email address you currently remember

If you can identify the original account, use the platform’s official recovery procedures rather than purchasing another profile

This preserves your original history and avoids introducing an unrelated identity into your development workflow

If the account belonged to an organization or former employer, the appropriate administrator may also need to be involved

Building Reputation On A New GitHub Account

A new account does not have to remain unknown

Developers can establish credibility through consistent and useful contributions

Publishing well documented projects is one of the strongest approaches

A repository with clear installation instructions, meaningful examples, tests, issue tracking, and transparent development practices can demonstrate far more ability than an inherited activity history

Contributing to existing open source projects can also help establish a genuine record

Useful pull requests, thoughtful issue reports, technical documentation, and constructive discussions create a history that accurately represents the developer
